Essential Functions:

  • Directly supervise the Process Engineering, Maintenance and Sanitation Department Team Leaders and members.
  • Monitor the method and quality of maintenance work being performed; take corrective action as needed.
  • Troubleshoot daily quality, safety, and production equipment issues.
  • Identify potential and current change points and make the required adjustments need to ensure quality, safety, production efficiency, and cost are maintained.
  • Be proactive in predicting equipment and/facility abnormalities and finding innovative solutions to correct.
  • Facilitate production process capital equipment recommendations, justifications, and acquisitions.
  • Evaluate and analyze problems involving machinery and equipment and coordinates repair of tools and machinery. Participate in frequent evaluation of machines, tools, equipment, etc.
  • Execute annual, monthly, weekly, daily preventative maintenance schedules to maintain established organizational Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals.
  • Ensure quality goals and standards are met and know how to use the quality feedback loops and systems and escalation procedures. Confirm that team members use the quality systems correctly.
  • Responsible for rectifying quality problems by discussing situations with other Group Leaders and Quality Auditor to decide on action to be taken.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Operations Director and Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Sustain and drive lean manufacturing methods and 5S activities in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor and ensure process efficiencies are performing to standard operation procedures.
  • Ensure that all aspects of his or her area of responsibility is in full compliance with the food safety and quality systems in place at the operation at all times.
  • Inform team members of changes to their day-to-day responsibilities and provide regular constructive feedback on their performance.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
  • Ensure the training is maintained by his/her team leaders and operator training tracks are up to date at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering and Supervisor Skill Specific Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificate in Lean Manufacturing and 2-3 years Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience.
  • Experience leading teams on Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to teach, coach, and mentor team members effectively.
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong personal organizational skills.
  • Ability to always operate with the highest ethical conduct and objectivity in accordance with the stated company values.

Compensation: 55,000 to 70,000/year
