Do you love baking pastries? We've got an opening in our Specialty team in charge of creating our delicious cakes, cookies, and other baked goods! We are looking to hire a baker to enhance our team in this high-volume production -- someone with a quick mind, attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You also need a passion for scratch artisan baking!

Supporting Local Farms: We source much of our ingredients from local Michigan farms. Using all natural ingredients, that are grown in a sustainable, healthy way is very important to us.

What You'll Do:

  • Combine all raw materials in proper sequence and sign off that each ingredient has been added and processed for the correct amount of time as outlined in the mixing system (Formula Sheet)
  • Rotate mixed ingredients back and forth to the line being served keeping the pace set by the Line Leader.
  • Complete, post, and deliver all batch forms (Formula Sheet) to the Production Manager.
  • Keep work area, tools and supplies, organized and sanitary throughout the shift.
  • Assist in the training of mixing area helpers and / or assistant mixers.
  • Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures

What You Need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Reading, written, mathematical, and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with bakery formulas and scaling ingredients.
  • Handle all products with care in the appropriate manner in order to minimize loss in the quality or appearance of the finished product.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum supervision.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, talk, hear, lift, and perform repetitive
  • motions.
  • Ability to frequently move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction.

Available Shifts (Varies depending on Production):

  • Sun through Fri
  • 6 am to 6 pm
